Diane Reinstädler took a degree in Chemistry at the Technical University of Berlin with a specialisation in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry. Her graduation project was in Biochemistry and Microbiology with a special focus on the protein expression in fungi. During her research for her PhD in Biophysics at the Robert Koch Institute, an institute of the German Federal Ministry of Health, she carried out time-resolved analyses of protein folding with the help of FTIR spectrometric technology. Thanks to her interdisciplinary training she has a wide range of scientific and technical skills.

Dr. Reinstädler has specialised in Intellectual Property Law since 1999, completing a traineeship at the law firm of Schneider in Berlin. In 2002 she joined Gulde & Partner where she qualified as a German patent attorney in the same year and as a European patent attorney in 2003. She also works as a lecturer for CEIPI (Centre d'Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Industrielle) where she helps to train patent experts in European Patent Law.
